Common questions
Is it free?
Yes. EverUsTogether is free to download and use, with no subscription. After you've used it for a while, one small, gentle ad may appear at the bottom of the Moments and Insights screens — never on Today, while you record a moment, or in Us check-ins. Recording and viewing your memories will stay free, permanently — that's a promise we made to ourselves from the start.
Do I need an account?
No. There's no account, no login, and no email or phone number required to use the app. During setup we only ask for your first name and your partner's first name, so the app can greet you both by name.
Is my data private?
Your moments — the notes, the dates, the check-ins — are stored only on your device and are never uploaded to us. There is no EverUsTogether server holding them and what you record is never shared with the ads you may see. The app does send anonymous usage statistics: which screens are opened, and that a step happened (setup finished, a moment was created). It never sends which moment or any text you wrote, and you can switch it off in Settings ▸ Data & privacy. The other nuance worth knowing: if you have Android's system backup turned on, a copy of the app's data may be saved to your own Google account by Android itself, the same as it would for many other apps. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
Does my partner need the app?
No. EverUsTogether is a personal tool — it helps you be more intentional in how you show care. Your partner doesn't install anything, doesn't need to know you're using it, and is never contacted, tracked, or messaged by the app in any way.
Will it work offline?
Yes. Recording a moment, browsing your history and the monthly view all work with no connection at all — on a plane, in the mountains, anywhere. The only thing that ever uses the network is the anonymous usage statistics described above, and the app works exactly the same with them switched off.
What if I lose my phone or switch devices?
Because your data lives only on your device, switching phones without a backup means starting fresh, the same as with any local-only app. If you'd like a safety net, you can turn on Android's own backup feature in your phone's settings, which will restore EverUsTogether's data (via your Google account) when you set up a new device. We're also considering an optional, user-controlled export/import feature for the future.
Can I turn off the anonymous usage statistics?
Yes. Open Settings ▸ Data & privacy in the app and switch off Share anonymous usage statistics. Reporting stops immediately and nothing else about the app changes. On this website, use Cookie settings in the footer.
Can I use it for a friendship or family relationship instead?
EverUsTogether is designed and written for romantic partners — married couples and long-term partners. It isn't built around family, parenting, or friendship relationships in this release.
How do I get it?
EverUsTogether is on Google Play for Android — free, with no subscription and one small, gentle ad after you've used it for a while: open it on Google Play. An iOS version is coming soon to the App Store; it isn't available yet.
